The opportunity is intended for graduates with relevant academic qualifications and an interest in occupational health, safety and environmental management.

Applicants should hold one of the following qualifications:

• National Diploma in Health and Safety Management.
• B-Tech degree in Health and Safety Management.
• Qualification in Environmental Management.
• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Qualification in Environmental Health.

The required qualification level is NQF Level 6 or NQF Level 7.

Candidates with additional professional certifications and memberships may have an advantage during the selection process.

Additional Advantageous Qualifications and Memberships

The following are considered advantageous:

• SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution such as the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH).
• Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
• Membership of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

A valid driver’s licence is also required.
