The EMPHNET scholarship is open to eligible applicants from low-income and lower-middle-income countries.

The master’s programmes are intended for professionals working in areas such as:

• Ministries of health and government health departments.
• Hospitals and healthcare institutions.
• Public health programmes.
• Non-governmental organisations.
• Humanitarian organisations.
• Research institutions and related organisations.

For admission to the master’s programmes, applicants should generally hold a bachelor’s degree in a health or health-related discipline and have at least one year of professional experience in the health sector.

Applicants must also meet the relevant academic admission requirements and the scholarship’s country eligibility criteria.

Country eligibility will be verified by EMPHNET. Applicants should therefore confirm their eligibility rather than assuming that nationality or residence alone guarantees qualification.

Successful applicants will receive 30% tuition fee support towards their selected master’s programme.

The scholarship reduces the cost of postgraduate education but does not cover the entire tuition fee.

Accordingly, applicants should review the applicable tuition fees, scholarship terms and remaining financial obligations before committing to either programme.

The programmes are delivered online, offering flexibility for professionals who wish to continue working while studying.

Both programmes comprise 36 credit hours and are designed to be completed over approximately 18–24 months.

Eligible graduates of recognised Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) may also qualify for credit-hour exemptions, depending on their training level and the applicable programme requirements.
